Auction result misses estimated price range

In May 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Proven (Abril) by Manuel Pailós for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,891.17). This price was achieved in the auction Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Pailós achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 68,142.43).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Im Mai 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Proven (Abril) von Manuel Pailós für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.891,17) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Pailós erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 68.142,43).
