Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Callum Campbell by Mao Yan was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in March 2018. The price achieved of HKD 1,416,000.00 (€ 146,427.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mao Yan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Standing Youth in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 9,440,000.00 (€ 1,063,557.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Callum Campbell von Mao Yan wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.416.000,00 (€ 146.427,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mao Yan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Standing Youth im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 9.440.000,00 (€ 1.063.557,38).
