Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Le Violoniste ou Le violoniste sur le banc by Marc Chagall for USD 5,858,000.00 (€ 5,498,404.36). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Evening Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000,000.00 – 9,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Marc Chagall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Le Violoniste ou Le violoniste sur le banc von Marc Chagall für USD 5.858.000,00 (€ 5.498.404,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000.000,00 – 9.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Chagall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
