Auction result well in line with expectations
The work L'idylle en bleu by Marc Chagall was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 24,575,000.00 (€ 2,945,586.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 17,000,000.00 – 27,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Marc Chagall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Amoureux in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 28,453,000.00 (€ 23,914,103.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit L'idylle en bleu von Marc Chagall wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 24.575.000,00 (€ 2.945.586,16) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 17.000.000,00 – 27.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marc Chagall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Amoureux im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.453.000,00 (€ 23.914.103,21).
