Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Spectre Du Gardénia by Marcel Jean was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in May 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 22,350.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Marcel Jean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La lune d'Eiffel in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 94,000.00 (€ 110,425.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Spectre Du Gardénia von Marcel Jean kam im Mai 2009 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 22.350,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcel Jean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La lune d'Eiffel im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.000,00 (€ 110.425,79).
