This artwork by Marie de Villepin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the Olympic Dreams auction, the work Rosebud sold for HKD 441,000.00 (€ 49,952.47) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 180,000.00. This high result makes Rosebud the most expensive artwork by Marie de Villepin that we have observed at auctions so far.
