Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art | London, which included this untitled work by Markus Lüpertz. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,202.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Markus Lüpertz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arrangement für eine Mütze I- dithyrambisch (Arrangement for a Cap I- dithyrambic) in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 300,000.00 (€ 333,124.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art | London durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Markus Lüpertz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.202,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Markus Lüpertz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arrangement für eine Mütze I- dithyrambisch (Arrangement for a Cap I- dithyrambic) im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 300.000,00 (€ 333.124,41).
