Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Usines et fleuve by Maurice de Vlaminck was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2018. The price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 107,112.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice de Vlaminck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysage de banlieue in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 22,482,500.00 (€ 15,638,912.08).

Die Arbeit Usines et fleuve von Maurice de Vlaminck kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 107.112,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice de Vlaminck erzielen.
