Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in London held the auction Outside In: The Dr. Jeffrey Sherwin Collection, which included the work Woman with a Child on her Shoulders by Maurice Lambert. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,229.17) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Lambert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kneeling Torso in November 2019 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,210.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Outside In: The Dr. Jeffrey Sherwin Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman with a Child on her Shoulders von Maurice Lambert zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.229,17) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Lambert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kneeling Torso im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.210,25).
