The work "Day and Night" (Jour et Nuit) by Maurits Cornelis Escher was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in April 2014. It achieved a price of SEK 320,000.00 (€ 35,460.71), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurits Cornelis Escher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reptiles (Bool 327) in April last year with an auction result of USD 756,000.00 (€ 717,471.77).

Die Arbeit "Day and Night" (Jour et Nuit) von Maurits Cornelis Escher kam im April 2014 bei Bukowski in Stockholm zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von SEK 320.000,00 (€ 35.460,71) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurits Cornelis Escher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reptiles (Bool 327) im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 756.000,00 (€ 717.471,77).
