Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Le chant du pinson by Max Ernst was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale Including Property from The Collection of Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass auction at Christies in New York in November 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 900,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 972,500.00 (€ 817,364.26). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Max Ernst achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le roi jouant avec la reine in November last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 23,670,444.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Le chant du pinson von Max Ernst wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale Including Property from The Collection of Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass bei Christies in New York versteigert.
