Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Neapel: looking over the Bay of Napels by Max Rabes. The price achieved of EUR 13,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Max Rabes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Storytime in October 2005 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 55,022.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Neapel: looking over the Bay of Napels von Max Rabes zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 13.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Max Rabes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Storytime im Oktober 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 55.022,93).
