Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jupiter Portfolio' by Minor White was sold in the Important European Collection auction at Sothebys in Paris in November 2016. The price achieved of EUR 12,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Minor White - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Photographs From 'Sequence 15', which sold at auction in October 2011 for USD 62,500.00 (€ 44,812.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jupiter Portfolio' von Minor White wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Important European Collection bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 12.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Minor White mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Photographs From 'Sequence 15' beobachtet, die im Oktober 2011 für USD 62.500,00 (€ 44.812,50) versteigert wurde.
