In March 2006 Christies in London held the auction THE COLLECTION OF THE LATE MRS E M TOMLINSON, which included the work The Watermill by Moses Griffith. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 456.00 (€ 653.37), 52% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Moses Griffith; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot View of Malvern Hills From Bevere sold at auction in November 2005 with the realized price of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,234.07).

Im März 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE COLLECTION OF THE LATE MRS E M TOMLINSON durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Watermill von Moses Griffith zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 456,00 (€ 653,37) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Moses Griffith; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit View of Malvern Hills From Bevere im November 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 840,00 (€ 1.234,07).
