Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Caernarvon by Moses Griffith was sold in the THE COLLECTION OF THE LATE MRS E M TOMLINSON auction at Christies in London in March 2006. The price achieved of GBP 240.00 (€ 343.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Moses Griffith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Malvern Hills From Bevere, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 840.00 (€ 1,234.07).
