Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Living With This Town by Mr. was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. The price achieved of HKD 1,778,000.00 (€ 208,185.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mr. achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 4,560,000.00 (€ 4,656,652.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Living With This Town von Mr. wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.778.000,00 (€ 208.185,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.200.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mr. erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Exercising My Telekinetic Powers (Painted In 2012) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.560.000,00 (€ 4.656.652,17).
