A top price for Nadim Karam - as previously expected
In October 2013 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part I, which included the work Peacock Elephant by Nadim Karam. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 73,561.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Peacock Elephant is the most expensive artwork by Nadim Karam that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab,Iranian and Turkish Art Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peacock Elephant von Nadim Karam zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 73.561,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Peacock Elephant das teuerste Kunstwerk von Nadim Karam, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
