Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Pearl Elephant by Nadim Karam was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in October 2011. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 35,850.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nadim Karam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peacock Elephant, which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 100,000.00 (€ 73,561.87).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 35.850,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Nadim Karam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peacock Elephant beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 100.000,00 (€ 73.561,87) versteigert wurde.
