Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2019 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Portrait of N (Nasreen) by Nalini Malani. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,215.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nalini Malani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Manipulating Reality in September 2010 with an auction result of USD 122,500.00 (€ 90,066.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of N (Nasreen) von Nalini Malani zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.215,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nalini Malani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Manipulating Reality im September 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 122.500,00 (€ 90.066,91).
