Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nan Goldin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in May 2021. In the Reborn: Modern and Contemporary auction, the work Joey’S Ass On My Roof. Nyc. sold for EUR 8,750.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nan Goldin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thanksgiving in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 284,500.00 (€ 304,636.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nan Goldin erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Reborn: Modern and Contemporary wurde die Arbeit Joey’S Ass On My Roof. Nyc. für EUR 8.750,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nan Goldin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Thanksgiving im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.500,00 (€ 304.636,47).
