Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2020 Christies held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Kalter Mai (Cold May) by Neo Rauch. The price achieved of GBP 587,250.00 (€ 680,624.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Other works by Neo Rauch have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2015 the work Bon Si was auctioned for GBP 962,500.00 (€ 1,357,112.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2020 führte Christies die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kalter Mai (Cold May) von Neo Rauch zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 587.250,00 (€ 680.624,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Neo Rauch konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2015 die Arbeit Bon Si für GBP 962.500,00 (€ 1.357.112,92) versteigert.
