In September 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work Monache sulla Neve by Nino Caffè. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,572.50 (€ 6,653.00), 31% above the upper estimate. Other works by Nino Caffè have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,596.92) in March 2006 for the work A Break From Prayers.
