Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2017 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Young Woman in Elevator, 1973 by Nobuyoshi Araki. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,614.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nobuyoshi Araki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From Close to Range in April 2014 with an auction result of USD 191,000.00 (€ 137,707.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Young Woman in Elevator, 1973 von Nobuyoshi Araki zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.614,05) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nobuyoshi Araki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit From Close to Range im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 191.000,00 (€ 137.707,28).
