Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Le Pays De Ma Grand-Mere / Grand Mother Country, 2007 by Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi was auctioned at Artcurial in Paris in December 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,300.00 – 1,800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,148.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bush Tucker Dreaming : My Father'S Country, 2007/2008 in July 2008 with an auction result of EUR 24,784.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Le Pays De Ma Grand-Mere / Grand Mother Country, 2007 von Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi im Dezember 2010 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.300,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.148,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bush Tucker Dreaming : My Father'S Country, 2007/2008 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.784,00.
