Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Australian Aboriginal Art, which included the work Le Reve Des Sept Soeurs / Seven Sisters Dreaming, 2008 by Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,630.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,500.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bush Tucker Dreaming : My Father'S Country, 2007/2008, which sold at auction in July 2008 for EUR 24,784.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Australian Aboriginal Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Reve Des Sept Soeurs / Seven Sisters Dreaming, 2008 von Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.630,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.500,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bush Tucker Dreaming : My Father'S Country, 2007/2008 beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für EUR 24.784,00 versteigert wurde.
