In June 2009 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Le Pays De Ma Grand-Mere, 2008 by Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,080.00 63% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bush Tucker Dreaming : My Father'S Country, 2007/2008 in July 2008 with an auction result of EUR 24,784.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2009 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Pays De Ma Grand-Mere, 2008 von Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.080,00 und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gabriella Possum Nungurrayi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bush Tucker Dreaming : My Father'S Country, 2007/2008 im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 24.784,00.
