Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 3,584.00 (€ 3,391.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ogle Winston Link have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected images, 1955-1958 in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,735.92).

Die Arbeit Hawksbill Creek Swimming Hole, Luray, Virginia von Ogle Winston Link wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.584,00 (€ 3.391,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ogle Winston Link auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected images, 1955-1958 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.735,92).
