Auction result well in line with expectations
In June this year Bruun Rasmussen held the auction Modern paintings, sculptures and prints, which included this untitled work by Olafur Eliasson. The price achieved of DKK 240,000.00 (€ 32,219.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as DKK 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olafur Eliasson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fivefold Eye in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 748,500.00 (€ 1,074,895.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni diesen Jahres führte Bruun Rasmussen die Auktion Modern paintings, sculptures and prints durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Olafur Eliasson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von DKK 240.000,00 (€ 32.219,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit DKK 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olafur Eliasson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fivefold Eye im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 748.500,00 (€ 1.074.895,25).
