Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Just a dream by Otto Zitko was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. It achieved a price of GBP 4,096.00 (€ 4,767.04), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Otto Zitko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ohne Titel in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,112.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Just a dream von Otto Zitko wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 4.096,00 (€ 4.767,04) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Otto Zitko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.112,98).
