Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Gathering by Pande Ketut Taman was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 15,000.00 – 30,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 5,040.00 (€ 546.31). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pande Ketut Taman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Berisi Kosong, Kosong Berisi in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 9,271.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Gathering von Pande Ketut Taman im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 5.040,00 (€ 546,31) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pande Ketut Taman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Berisi Kosong, Kosong Berisi im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 9.271,42).
