It achieved a price of GBP 110,500.00 (€ 152,363.09), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Klee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bunte Landschaft in November last year with an auction result of USD 4,860,000.00 (€ 4,707,933.74).

Die Arbeit Geister des Theaters (Spirits of the Theatre) von Paul Klee kam im Februar 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 110.500,00 (€ 152.363,09) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Klee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bunte Landschaft im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.860.000,00 (€ 4.707.933,74).
