Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spirit of Bristol (Maquette) by Paul Mount was sold in the Modern & Post War British Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,682.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Mount have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rhapsody in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 64,900.00 (€ 78,098.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spirit of Bristol (Maquette) von Paul Mount wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Post War British Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.682,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Mount auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rhapsody im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 64.900,00 (€ 78.098,46).
