Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,637.50 (€ 12,106.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Penry Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mass for the Reapers, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 16,450.00 (€ 26,075.28).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.637,50 (€ 12.106,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
