Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Musselin 2, 2005 by Pia Fries was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,872.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pia Fries have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work „Windwuchs“ in June last year with an auction result of EUR 21,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Musselin 2, 2005 von Pia Fries wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.080,00 (€ 3.872,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pia Fries auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit „Windwuchs“ im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.250,00.
