Upper estimate price exceeded by 42 %.
The work Spogie I by Piero Dorazio was sold in the Arte moderna e contemporanea auction at Il Ponte in May last year. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 8,500.00 42% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piero Dorazio achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Troppo segreto, 1961 in June last year with an auction result of EUR 819,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Spogie I von Piero Dorazio wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Arte moderna e contemporanea bei Il Ponte versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 8.500,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Piero Dorazio erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Troppo segreto, 1961 im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 819.000,00.
