In the Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale Including Property from The Collection of Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass auction, the work Jeune fille se peignant (La Toilette) changed hands for USD 2,352,500.00 (€ 1,977,223.06) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Auguste Renoir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Berthe Morisot et sa fille, Julie Manet in May last year with an auction result of USD 24,435,000.00 (€ 22,770,478.05).
