This artwork by Pierre Bonnard achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2018. In the Modern Edition Online auction, the work Le Canotage sold for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,978.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Bonnard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 19,570,000.00 (€ 17,553,143.78).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre Bonnard erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Edition Online wurde die Arbeit Le Canotage für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.978,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Bonnard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Terrasse Ou Une Terrasse À Grasse im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.570.000,00 (€ 17.553.143,78).
