This artwork by Pierre Houlès achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in May 2018. In the Photographs Online auction, the work 'Jean-Michel Basquiat', 1982 sold for EUR 2,040.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 700.00. This high result makes 'Jean-Michel Basquiat', 1982 the most expensive artwork by Pierre Houlès that we have observed at auctions so far.
