Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work La plage du Havre by Raoul Dufy. The price achieved of USD 792,500.00 (€ 679,091.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700,000.00 – 900,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raoul Dufy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Regattes À Trouville, which sold at auction in February 2015 for GBP 1,505,000.00 (€ 2,075,171.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit La plage du Havre von Raoul Dufy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 792.500,00 (€ 679.091,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Raoul Dufy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Regattes À Trouville beobachtet, die im Februar 2015 für GBP 1.505.000,00 (€ 2.075.171,47) versteigert wurde.
