Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Interiors, which included the work Le port du Cannes by Raymond Thibésart. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,278.31), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Raymond Thibésart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cherry Blossoms, which sold at auction in August 2010 for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,427.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le port du Cannes von Raymond Thibésart zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.278,31) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Raymond Thibésart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cherry Blossoms beobachtet, die im August 2010 für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.427,74) versteigert wurde.
