Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Painting Machine, 1988 by Rebecca Horn was sold in the Contemporary Art 1 auction at Artcurial in Paris in May 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 50,106.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rebecca Horn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ohne Titel, which sold at auction in December 2017 for EUR 124,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Painting Machine, 1988 von Rebecca Horn wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary Art 1 bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 50.106,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Rebecca Horn mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für EUR 124.000,00 versteigert wurde.
