The work Truman Capote, New York City, October 10, 1955 by Richard Avedon was sold in the The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection auction at Christies in New York in October 2020. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 13,952.09), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Avedon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Beatles Portfolio: John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, London in November last year with an auction result of GBP 809,000.00 (€ 937,446.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Truman Capote, New York City, October 10, 1955 von Richard Avedon wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert.
