Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Richard Prince was auctioned at Christies in New York in March this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 1,800,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,710,816.78). Admittedly, works by Richard Prince have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Runaway Nurse in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 93,986,000.00 (€ 10,209,316.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Richard Prince kam im März diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 1.800.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 1.860.000,00 (€ 1.710.816,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Prince auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Runaway Nurse im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 93.986.000,00 (€ 10.209.316,51).
