Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Richard Prince was sold in the ADAM: Works from the Collection of Adam Lindemann auction at Christies in New York in March this year. The price achieved of USD 529,200.00 (€ 486,754.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Prince achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Runaway Nurse in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 93,986,000.00 (€ 10,209,316.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Richard Prince wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion ADAM: Works from the Collection of Adam Lindemann bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 529.200,00 (€ 486.754,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Prince erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Runaway Nurse im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 93.986.000,00 (€ 10.209.316,51).
