In November 2010 Christies in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Nude -- Artificial Light, early 1950s by Ruth Bernhard. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,468.74), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ruth Bernhard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Ruth Bernhard', which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,573.68).

Im November 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nude -- Artificial Light, early 1950s von Ruth Bernhard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.468,74) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ruth Bernhard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Ruth Bernhard' beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.573,68) versteigert wurde.
