This artwork by Sally Mann achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2020. In the The Unseen Eye: Photographs from the W.M. Hunt Collection auction, the work Eyeless In Col Alto, 1993 sold for USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,732.38) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sally Mann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Candy Cigarette in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 257,000.00 (€ 205,107.74).

Hunt Collection wurde die Arbeit Eyeless In Col Alto, 1993 für USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.732,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sally Mann erzielen.
