Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Magnificent Nudes: Iconic Photographs from Distinguished Private Collections, which included the work Kate Gun Belt Rear , 1963 by Sam Haskins. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sam Haskins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orignal maquette for Cowboy Kate & Other Stories, 1963-64 in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 45,671.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Magnificent Nudes: Iconic Photographs from Distinguished Private Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kate Gun Belt Rear , 1963 von Sam Haskins zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sam Haskins auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orignal maquette for Cowboy Kate & Other Stories, 1963-64 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 45.671,31).
