It achieved a price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,415.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Samir Rafi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 101,493.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pecheur au poisson rouge von Samir Rafi wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 16.415,54) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samir Rafi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 101.493,72).
