Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work L'Ami Gustave by Jean-Jacques Sempé for EUR 4,900.00. This price was achieved in the auction Patrimoine de Saint-Germain-des-Prés - Vente caritative at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Jacques Sempé achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 4th of July in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 69,742.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit L'Ami Gustave von Jean-Jacques Sempé für EUR 4.900,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Patrimoine de Saint-Germain-des-Prés - Vente caritative bei Christies in Paris erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Jacques Sempé erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 4th of July im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 69.742,00.
