Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Bottom The Weaver by Hubert von Herkomer for GBP 600.00 (€ 890.37). This price was achieved in the auction Works of Art from the Collection of S.A.R. La Principessa Reale Maria Gabriella di Savoia at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hubert von Herkomer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Miss Katherine Grant (The Lady in White) in December 2021 with an auction result of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 96,914.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Bottom The Weaver von Hubert von Herkomer für GBP 600,00 (€ 890,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Works of Art from the Collection of S.A.R. La Principessa Reale Maria Gabriella di Savoia bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hubert von Herkomer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Miss Katherine Grant (The Lady in White) im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 96.914,21).
